The Friday Five.

Happy Friday!

We’re skipping our way through spring and feeling good about it. This week has presented a lot of lessons in small and subtle ways. Here are a few highlights from the week…

One. One bowl wonders are proof that the best things in life aren’t necessarily the prettiest. Recipe here.

Two. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. I shared my story on the RAINN website because it’s difficult and hard and because it won’t get better unless we speak up. Make sure your college, workplace, and representatives are listening.

Three. Mindfulness is a really buzzy term in our culture, but it basically means taking the time to look up every once in a while. It’s gotten me asking the question: Did You See The Cathedral?

Four. Very important answers from the most important survey. Pizza and Pokémon for the win!

Five. Finally got to dig into Brené Brown’s book Daring Greatly. She’s such a powerful author and this word is TRUTH:

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”

Be you and be blessed this weekend!

xx,

J
